Obtained by combining the native Vermentino and Nasco grapes, fermented in small French oak casks. Especially appreciated by demanding wine buffs.

Grapes Vermentino (75%) Nasco (25%)

Location 2 ha vineyards "Vigna dei rifugi" (vineyard of shelters) in the Su Leunaxi area for Vermentino; 0.6 ha vineyard Coxineri in the Su Leunaxi area for Nasco

Planting year 1992

Soil Calcareous (Vermentino); sandy and stony (Nasco)

Exposure North (both grapes)

Planting of vines mt 230 x 1,10

Training Guyot with 5/6 buds per vine

Production 1.5 Kg grapes from Vermentino and 1 Kg grapes from Nasco

Harvest Last ten days in August for Nasco and beginning of September for Vermentino, with 234 g/l of sugar

Vinification

Pressing De-stalking and soft pressing

Fermentation In small oak casks, using selected yeast and batonnage

Maturation 6 months in barriques and 2 months in bottle

Bottling Wine protected with nitrogen, Natural cork 49x26 mm

Analytical data Alcohol 14?, total acidity 5.5 g/l, residual sugar 1.5 g/l

Tasting notes Deep straw-yellow with golden tinges, delicate and sweet scent, full, rich and mellow taste, with a pleasant fruity feel

Food Matching Rich fish and white meats; grilled eels; medium mature cheese

Serving temperature 10-12 C
